Who did it..riddle..?

There was a murder and a bank robbery in Riverdale. A witness had seen two twins on a rainy day in a van when one of the twins got out and committed the crimes. The police came and properly arrested the twin that committed the crime. Since the two twins were both dressed exactly the same, how did they know which one to arrest?
