Dropped a piece of battery post in the battery cell?

If it doesn't fall to the bottom of the batter, It can cause 2 of the cells to short. This will reduce the life and power of the batter. the next question. How do you get it out, Well unfortunately with out disassembly of the battery, you really can't. Unless you are well versed in handling and disposal of battery acid, I would not recommend removing the acid just to get this one piece out. Disposal of the acid is often more difficult and costly then just replacement of the battery. If it where me, I would start saving my money to purchase a new battery. just to be on the safe side.
